PRESS RELEASE

SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2009

A $10 million anonymous gift, made in honor of Mary McDermott Cook, was announced that will be used to turn the Continental Avenue Bridge into a pedestrian-only bridge – a place to stroll, picnic and enjoy street vendors.

A $5 million gift from Deedie and Rusty Rose will be used in part to establish the Dallas CityDesign Studio with Larry Beasley as special advisor and Brent Brown, AIA LEED AP, as director.

The Trinity Trust’s new video library includes the celebration of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge with U. S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, Architect Santiago Calatrava, and Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert along with comments by leaders in Dallas.
